Used Days

Erin Stoner because i said so

My mentor calls them used days.

This one’s been a used week. I don’t know who had it first or what they’ve done to it, but it sure didn’t come to me shiny and new.

I’ve had it. I say, enough. Enough of the fearful, painful, hateful, prideful, xenophobic, homophobic, misogynistic, materialistic, fatalistic, avaricious refuse that keeps washing up on my shore. I’ve had it with the second-hand days. This is my wild and precious life and I say:

Enough.

Make way. Today is fresh and new, and it’s got my name on it.
