It is amazing to watch the kids grow—the lines on the wall, the inches, the learning and the shoes, oh, the shoes!
Watching them grow makes my heart want to burst with a mix of pride and pain.
But guess what? I am growing too--in so many unseen ways.
My kids have pushed me to edges I didn’t know I had—both good and bad. I have had to dig deeper into myself than I ever possibly imagined.
These little mirrors of mine force me to look, really look at who I am, who I want to be and how to bridge the two.
That is growth.
I just wish it came with new shoes.
