We recently came across the website pwints.com and instantly fell in love and decided that we must share this with you, our dear readers! Pwints.com is a collection of prints by some of the best artists and illustrators working today. All of the prints are made in limited batches by small, independent American companies. Almost all of their products are exclusive to this site, so you won’t find them anywhere else!
The creator of the site, Mitch Putnam shared a few words with us on how this site came to be…
For a number of years now, I've run a couple of sites that focus on concert poster art—postersandtoys.com and omgposters.com, as well as being one of the art directors for the movie poster company, Mondo.
In 2011, we had our first son, Jack, and I realized how much thought and enthusiasm parents put into decorating nurseries and kids' rooms. I bought kid-friendly prints to hang on Jack's walls when I could find them, but I always wished there was a single website that carried playful prints by all of my favorite artists.
A year later, I opened Pwints.com and gathered some of the biggest illustrators in the concert poster and art print scene. Each artist has contributed exclusive, museum-quality prints.
I remember when we hung the first piece of art on Jack's wall—you could actually see his face light up as he laid on his back admiring them! I hope that I can provide that same experience for other parents.
Art is important, let's start them young.
