Mamalode is a content company. We tell the gutsy, authentic and open first person parenting stories, on platforms ranging from print magazines, digital, social, video, podcasts and live events.

Our contributors are moms, dads, kids, grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends. They become Mamaloders because we give them something nobody else does—the truth and each other.

Mamalode began with a party for moms the night before Mother’s Day—Mother’s Day Eve®. The annual event grew from a small group of friends to a large public event with 500 moms and moms-to-be, and a long list of business sponsors. Now moms across the country celebrate this night with events big and small. Turns out we may have invented a holiday.

In 2009, we published the first print edition of Mamalode magazine. Web, video, podcasts, live events followed, and our audience grew from local to national within a year. We now have a powerhouse of a library to work with: over 4000 stories from over 1000 writers (growing everyday) and the ability to build out multi-platform conversations and establish real connections.

Mamalode has been called “America’s BEST parenting magazine” by Lisa Stone, Co-founder of BlogHer. We collect the best of the blogosphere, mash it up with MFA programs and mix it with our readers’ killer submissions. And through a little curation, a lot of love for content and design and the wonders of modern motherhood, we deliver Mamalode.

Cruise the website. There are new themes every month filled with stories, poems, playlists, slideshows, reviews and great people. You can follow us on facebook, twitter, pinterest, instagram. We have print magazines, digital, and keep an eye out for our not-to-be-missed live events.

“Mamalode shows what 21st century publishing can be.”
