The month of March is dedicated to big dreams, ambition, risk and courage – the stuff you put your whole heart into and what it takes to get there. Stories about who you are, want to be and where you want to go.
For me, those aspirations are constantly in flux and intertwined. They are big and small. Now and then. Sometimes it’s like my nose is pressed up against the glass and I simply aspire to get through the day. To let go of stuff I like to try to control. To hold space for myself. To love a little more.
Other times I find more room to plan that epic summer road trip our family plans to take. A trip that has the potential to create lifelong memories of new places, people and experiences for all of us.
And sometimes, I get a chance to look even further down that dusty road of life. I start to write that story about who I am, where I’ve been and what I want to be. But it’s not a story I have to finish. It’s the one I get to keep writing, editing and rewriting.
Mamalode’s theme partner for ASPIRE is Missoula Children's Theatre (MCT) –the world's largest touring children's theatre. MCT brings the arts to all 50 states, 5 Canadian Provinces and 16 countries.
