My mother’s name is Cheri. So this theme, CHERISH, all I can see is Cheri-ish. As in, like my mom.
And it works. To be Cheri-ish is to love holidays and simple joys. To make something as simple as soup into a big tradition.
Make sure your eyes sparkle, especially around kids and grandkids. Listen to Christmas music with abandon.
No matter the circumstances, never stop bending toward the light.
Have lots of softness around—pillows for forts, cozy blankets, huge hugs.
Money has nothing to do with it at all. Letting kids play in the mud puddles has everything to do with it.
Paint it gold. Put twinkle lights up. Color is always good.
Paint what you see—no, actually paint how you feel. That is even better.
Be afraid, love anyway. Be exhausted, love anyway. Be sick, love anyway.
It is your only way, anyway.
To be Cheri-ish IS to cherish.
My wish for you is to CHERISH all the wonders, the tiny miracles, the big ones, and everything in between.
We cherish you.
