My mom Sandy is the epitome of a Badass Mom. She is a single parent who worked at least three jobs at any one time to give my brothers and I everything we could ever need, and most things we wanted. She has raised her three kids with more love and patience than anyone I know.
She has also been teaching world history to sophomores for over 30 years, changing countless lives along the way. If I had a dollar for every time someone told me my mom was their favorite teacher in high school, I could pay off my student loans.
She's funny, crazy smart and incredibly beautiful. My mom is the most selfless, kind and compassionate woman I know. She has taught me so much about being a good person, and a good mother. If I can be even half as wonderful of a mother to my daughter as my mom is to me, I will consider myself a success. I don't know what I would do without my Badass Mom always here to give me advice and listen to my problems.
