I loved you enough.

I loved you enough to take prenatal vitamins before you were conceived.

I loved you enough to give up coffee while you were gestating.

I loved you enough to take parenting classes.

I loved you enough to nurse you at my breast until you outgrew the need.

I loved you enough to quit my job and spend every second of my days with you.

I loved you enough to seek answers when something wasn’t quite right.

I loved you enough to stifle my tears when I heard the word “autism.”

I loved you enough to fight for you.

I loved you enough to fill every day with doctor and therapy appointments.

I loved you enough to visit specialists in other states.

I loved you enough to drain my bank account.

I loved you enough to take you to playdates even though you didn’t play.

I loved you enough to celebrate you learning your name at 3-years-old.

I loved you enough to visit every preschool in the county.

I loved you enough to say none of those schools were good enough.

I loved you enough to teach you at home.

I loved you enough to encourage your abilities.

I loved you enough to believe you could speak.

I loved you enough to sit with you in silence when the world became too scary.

I loved you enough to take you back into that world.

I loved you enough to trust your limits.

I loved you enough to step back and watch you grow.

I loved you enough to let you chart your own path.

I loved you enough to let you move beyond the label.

I loved you enough to let you shine.

I loved you enough.

I loved you.

I love you.

Always and forever.
