When you come from a place of love, you always win. Montana won my heart over without even realizing it.

The Scars Project was created to highlight the relationship between kids and their scars. Kids who’ve gone through something traumatic, and have come out on the other side stronger and braver for it.

These may be the last words they ever speak to me, I think to myself, searing them into my memory. Because today, I’m on an airplane.

We are also proud of the childhood our kids are having. Here, they are growing up with joy, mountains, lakes, fields, rivers and profound friendships.
